  My wife and I agreed that this was by far the best food we had in old Quebec City. The escargot was delicious, I had the wild meat pie for my entree, it was incredible. My wife loved her goat cheese salad. The maple pie desert was great as well. The service was friendly and we were well taken care of throughout the meal. I highly recommend this place

  I shared the Trapper's Treat (buffalo stew and wild meats pie) with my wife. It is a lot of food for one person in my opinion. It was good but I wouldn't say it was spectacular. What were spectacular were the lobster tail, giant shrimp and scallop appetizer, the pea soup, and the Maple pie. These were extraordinary good! The waiter was really nice and courteous. The decor was quaint but I don't think it's important. The price is on the high side but not unreasonable. I highly recommend this place.

  Atmosphere was the only positive. We ordered escargot starter and 2 beef wellingtons. The escargot was tasty but the Wellington was terrible. Menu says medium but it was more like well done. The beef was dry and tough, and definitely not a tenderloin. For $33, I expected​ a delicious Wellington but it was so disappointing. Would not recommend this place.

  We happened upon this restaurant by luck. The oldest building (1650) in town. Beautifully decot, cozy, excellent service, outstanding food. Nice, cozy bar with friendly staff. We stopped in for a drink and returned the next evening for dinner. It was heavily game meat driven but didn't have funky flavors. The meat pie reminded me of my dad's cooking growing up. It was very nostalgic being there since we are French Canadians from America. We loved it and it was by far, our best meal!

  If you like meat, especially wild game, this is your place. It's quaint and crowded, but the selection is awesome and the food is plentiful. I got the Grandpa's Treat, two different meat pies, pig knuckle, meatball ragout, salt pork grillades, and baked beans. It was fantastic. If you're hungry, this is your dish! I would definitely go back again.
